To me this looks like a photograph taken in a European continental country, perhaps Germany or Holland? That's certainly not a British barn in the left background. The family is standing in a birch wood or forest (there is a pile of felled timber in the background) on a shirt-sleeves warm day, a perhaps have stood up from sitting on chairs like that just visible at the left edge of the photo. I like that something unknown to the right is attracting the attention of four of the group, the baby is looking at his/her sister, and only the mother is smiling, a little! They don't look terribly well off, the mother's hands are not dainty, but perhaps they aren't dirt-poor either.
The original photograph is not in perfect condition, is heavily stained and the highlights are over-exposed.
